Hi -Thanks for a very interesting video. I've been working on my original AR XA (1967) and am experiencing hum after working on the wiring. I watched your video but am not sure how you ended up wiring the tonearm wires, the separate ground wire and the chassis ground points. I also added a new three-prong grounded power cord. You made yours be quiet so could you please provide a diagram? <br><br>I don't tolerate hum very easily. I am using Shure V!5 type IV and type III cartridges but am considering a new one. I did try a Grado Prestige Series Gold 4 which added more hum. The Grado people advised me not to use their cartridges because they are sensitive to the EMI from the XA's AC motor. I am now looking at the Audio-Technica AT-VM750xSH (and would like your thoughts about cartridges for the XA) but I need to solve the turntable-related hum first.<br><br>Thanks in advance for your help!

After changing caps did you notice the motor buzzing even after powering off?? Ive had quite a few of these over the years and they all had that issue. A classic table and so much fun to see do it's thing after all these years.👏
