  Given all the changes they went thorugh development it almost feels like a miracle that Banjo-Kazooie came out the way it did, such a fantastic title

  Fun fact: The original Mumbo’s mountain theme is still technically in the final game as it’s used as the basis for the Gruntilda’s lair theme for it and inside the Termite mound,and it’s actually remixed in DK64 as Tiny’s tag barrel theme.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoKaLIhRT2k&amp;t=238">3:58</a> - The gargoyle statue model was taken from the 3D polygon model for Dream on Nintendo 64, not the SGI render used on SNES. Rare were really good about re-using assets...such as the door from the Temple Test level being re-used as Grunty&apos;s chamber door in her tower!

  Before anyone knew the context behind it, the alpha levels were gassed up to mythical degrees on par with the Triforce rumors, completely unaware that it was the most unambitious form of the Banjo Kazooie we know. Goes to show the grass is always greener on the other side.

  Fun fact: A slow variation of the original Mumbo&apos;s Mountain theme can still be heard inside the termite hill in the finished game.

  I still find it strange how much redundancy was in the level design when they were first making the game. They had like 3 beach levels, 3 mountain levels, and nobody really changed it until much much later into development 😂

  Allegedly, Banjo was named after Banjo Yamauchi, grandson of the late Hiroshi Yamauchi<br>Also: Mumbo would perform a rain dance in Banjo Tooie
