I'm in southern California, so I made mine out of linen. That way I can still look stylish and not die of heatstroke...<br><br>More cloak content!

I was fortunate enough to do a summer on Study Abroad in the UK about 20 years ago. Bought a tartan lap blanket/throw in Scotland and then after I got back to the States I started wearing it as a rectangle cloak. Thick yarn and a bit looser weave, but it still works well as a mainstay of winter wear. Winters where I live usually range between 0 to -17 C.<br>Usually I fold a bit of it down along the long edge, then drape it around my shoulders and pin it in front. The folded part gives extra warmth and can also be used as a hood.
