<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heVL0_TeqBc&t=639">10:39</a> those calls suuuuck to make. i work as a clinic nurse in a teaching hospital's HPB (liver/pancreas/biliary) cancer surgery clinic. the stars have to align to be a candidate for these surgeries, and even then - we're buying the patient more time and rarely ever "curing" their cancer since most of these cancers are so recurrent. it's incredibly frustrating when delays are introduced through insurance with such a short window for operability.
