In 1996 I bought my daughter 1963 300 Dream and rebuilt it for her. When it was finished, I decided to ride it from my house in Cincinnati to her house near Chicago. I took the back roads because the thing was so "sketchy" at highway speeds. In Winamac, Indiana I got a flat tire near a house with 2 Harleys in the yard. They helped load the Dream into their truck and took me to Kerstings Harley where some of the nicest folks I ever met fixed the tire for free and gave me directions to get back to my route. When it was time to replace my 1989 FLHS, I went to Kerstings and bought a new 1998 FLHR Anniversary Edition. I've done a lot of long distance riding, but I never forgot that ride. Thanks for a ride down memory lane.

Literally just bought a 1964 Honda Dream 300 a week ago, for $250, with the intent of getting it to run and ride. It has sat outside since 2000 with a spark plug out, so I expect the motor will need a rebuild, but it was so nice to see this video come up. Thanks, Craig and Dan! You've made my dreams come true!

I'm thankful that I am not the only one who is thrilled about seeing a Honda Dream running again. Fine effort.

So happy to see this video pop up today as I've been working on my dad's inherited Dream 305 over the past few years. I'm outside of Lancaster if you ever need a second set of eyes with these things.

My friend had a mint 305 dream it was black. Back in the early to mid seventies he use to give us rides. He drove me and a friend around like the three stooges, and we would laugh so hard having the time of our lives!!! I miss that so much, and I miss my dear good friends. Thank you for sharing and the memories my friend!!!

Wow!! I had the 250 version of this bike as my first real bike in 1972!! Made in 1963, the brakes (drum) and 12V electrics were far better than the British equivalents, electric starter & sweet running. Handling was a different story!! I suspect the dampers were shot but I was young and running on a shoestring!! I had a factory workshop manual, with hilarious English translations, but the quality was amazing, with hundreds of photos.

Sweet! Someone might have said this already, but the “E” in the serial number stands for “Engine.” The frame will have a similar number that starts with “CA77-xxxxxx.” Looks like a ‘64 to me.

These honda dreams were a major breakthrough for honda and they were a fun bike to ride . Today these bikes are worth a small fortune when they have been restored.

15:20 I think the Honda guy in Japan who last saw those wires in the 60s would probably be pretty happy to see you restoring the bike he built.
