  You have all the basics of country living. Cannot ask for more than that. &nbsp;Everything that you want or need is close. You do not need to travel to the city for it. As i grow older &nbsp;I find that I, prefer the peaceful and quiet &nbsp;lifestyle of country living.<br>In 1998 to 1999 my husband and I lived in Xinyang, Henan province. He taught English at Xinyang Teachers College. I believe China has developed tremendously since then.

  It’s so interesting to hear what life is like in a different country. I would say that your village is more of a community than my village here in rural England. Yes, we have friends and neighbours and we help each other in times of need, but from day to day, people tend keep to themselves more. I think village life here was more like yours several decades ago, when we used village shops and socialised locally but now we’re more likely to shop online and stay in to watch TV. ‘Use it or lose it’ is what we say - if we don’t use our local shops and pubs they will close and then we’ll lose even more of what’s left of our communities.

  Your schools and supermarkets are better than most of rural America. <br><br>I’m not used to the shared large room hospital, but for $2 instead of $4000 I’d get over it

  How I would love this simple life in a rural village, the charm, peace, quietness, and basic living. <br>Don&apos;t think that the people of rural China understand how beautiful it is.   My first visit to China was to Shenzen in 1983. &nbsp;Then I lived in 南宁， 在广西 for 5 months。 &nbsp;我学习汉语。 &nbsp;We had field trips to rural areas and stayed in minority villages. &nbsp;The train to Guilin took 6 hours. &nbsp;I returned in 2016 and saw huge changes. &nbsp;The train was very fast and smooth. &nbsp;It only took 2 hours to get to Guilin. &nbsp;I do love the old architecture. &nbsp;I would love to return again. &nbsp;我爱中国。
