  Greetings from England and thank you so much for doing this video, so straightforward and easy to follow, even for a novice like me.. I have an SL B2, not used it as a main deck for a while and was considering getting rid, but after watching this I'm definitely going to keep it and use it more. Cheers again, great job pal, looking forward to more videos from you.

  Thank you very much. I found my 1980 SL-B2 at my parents house and watched this video before I started to clean and lubricate mine. Works perfectly now. Had to replace the drive belt. The old one had been reduced to a sticky mess and had to be removed with aceton from the plate.

  I got brave and took that turntable, out of its box and out of the closet. Was pleased that I learned so much from you! I didn't take out that little white gear bc I saw it was broken and knew I would want to come back here and locate that supplier you mentioned. I'm in SLC, and the only repairman in UT, just passed away a few weeks ago. So, I guess it was meant to be confident and try to listen up and do it myself. I'm hoping that I can also find one of the original plastic hinges that are cheaper than eBay for $30plus. Those two w a new rubber band will make my next effort complete. Again, this 63yo woman thanks you much. I am on my way to rebuilding a system I loved years ago😊

  I used this video the service my 45 year old Technics Turntable instead of buying another one. It runs like new now and all motor/background noise is gone. Thanks!

  Congratulations finally a clear and complete video.  I have two Technics SL D21 turntables that I haven't used in a long time and now they don't start.  I'll try to follow your advice and if I can't get them started I'll have to bother you.  Thank you

  My dad had that same turntable right at the start of the 80&apos;s so it&apos;s a 70s/80s deck also denoted on the sticker on the motor there dated 1979.<br>My brother about 2yo at the time would grab a stool and try playing records while my mum and dad were having a lie in at the weekend and break the needle every week and so we would take a trip to the shops to buy a new one 😂

  We all should look at 3D printing for parts, like that cog.<br>Print it as you need it.
