The fact everyone thought the Gambino's were the most powerful tells you how good the Genovese were

Pride is one of the deadly sins

GOD detests haughty eyes, lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, and the plot to do evil.

Hopefully he said an internal repentance and asked for salvation but based on him shooing away the priest he should final defiance.

0:32 Edit: He died the way the federal department had intended, by giving him cancer.....it was a political and medical dismantling of the man who had laughed one too many times in their face.

Gotti asked for his own demise. If he wasn't a flamboyant, jealous person who buried Gravano in those tapes, Sammy would not have said a word.

As an organized crime historian from the mean streets of Brooklyn for nearly fifty years, people often mistake my fascination with admiration for gangsters!
The truth of the matter is that gangsters are despicable human beings! They're criminals who are involved with murder, stealing, porn, narcotics, prostitution, and shylocking.
They live a life of stress, uncertainty, and paranoia, and typically wind up murdered or in prison! Or both, killed in prison like the scumbag named Whitey Bulger.
People like Paul Castellano and John Gotti are perfect examples of this and got exactly what they deserved!

The ultimate cause of John's downfall was definitely his arrogance, and that huge ego of his, which could cast a shadow over the whole NYC.
From what I've learned from reading, or watching a based on true life TV miniseries, most of them mafia bosses put themselves in the feds because of the same type behavior.

The US government invented anthrax, AIDS, and all modern diseases, and it killed John Gotti.

No pity for him. Everybody else never had problems, according to his mindset. A killer, drug dealer and an anarchist. A punk hiding behind a gang. The world is better off despite what his pitiful minions say or think.
