  Her voice is so high because she is playing a ghost. See the video for this - at 19 she was also a captivating choreographer/dancer.

  Yes, Kate Bush did base the song off a BBC movie adaption of "Wuthering Heights" when she wrote it at 18 years old and made her the first female artist to reach Number one on the UK Singles chart for a completely self-written song.

  You should have watched the official video.  She doesn't just sing, she does interpretive dancing along with it...  I guess You can watch it later...

  The word genius is banded around far too easily but in Kate's case ....she really is. Composer,musician,dancer,choreographer,director and lyricist supreme.....high praise indeed..but richly deserved. She pulls on classic literature,historic tales and even pagan beliefs in her lyrics....truly a unique artist. A great reaction and analysis as usual 👏

  They actually used 14 violins, when recording Wuthering Heights. Eight first violins, six second violins, six violas and six cellos — as well as three French horns.

  It is inspired  in Wuthering Heights is the novel by Emily Brontë, a classic of English literature. It's Cathy's ghost.

She&apos;s the most beautiful mystery.&quot;<br><br>She re-recorded Wuthering Heights for her 1986 compilation. You should react to it also, as her 1978 voice is a lot different than her 1986 voice.
