  As a politically active russian, I&apos;d say this video is an honest and very sensitive analysis, and you have done an especially great job trying to anatomize the cultural aspect. However, I cannot agree on the media part: while western and Russian propaganda machines are very different, there is (or at least was, before the SVO) still a ton of opposition media and content, but it is extremely disunited and polarised on many topics, both because internal disagreements and state interference. Another reason for opposition&apos;s low public trust is their affiliation and financial dependency on western state-funded non-profit organisations.<br>Other than that, great video, sorry for the huge wall of text :)

The blackbelt thing used to be on TV a lot in mid-2000s, but these days most of his curated public image on federal channels is of a wise elderly uncle waddling from one meeting to the next to make what is meant to be profound remarks.
