What I love about this discussion is that both of you acknowledge Avinox is a great motor, even if it's overhyped. That's a balanced take. The reality is, Avinox forced Bosch and everyone else to step up their game. Better motors, better displays, better integration. That's good for everyone. Is it overhyped? Maybe. But the hype is there for a reason – it's genuinely innovative and it pushed the industry forward.

As a 145lb rider my Turbo Levo at 54lbs was uncomfortably heavy. My current 43lb Norco TQ60 bike is much easier to lift and has plenty of power for the trails I ride.

The best motor is the one that fits your riding style. For me, that's Avinox.

I'm approaching the year when I will go pedal assist and for my style of XC/Dad Country single track riding I will want a bike that feels like an extension of me. I envision a motor that helps me, but I will still want the bike itself to feel like a bicycle. I'm hoping TQ still exists and can perfect their motor as that seems to be made specifically for me.... hopefully I can make it to 65 (6yrs) before buying one and the tech will not only keep advancing (gear box) but so will the reliability, and the bikes will become even better in terms of not feeling like a monster powered Mo-Ped... Great stuff by the way boys! 👍

One of the largest selling points of the Avinox system for me is the looks of the bike. All the other full power bikes out there right now look 3 generations old compared to the M2S and its various battery options. Couple that with the fact that’s it also laugh out loud powerful and it’s not hard to see why consumers are drawn to it. And then add onto that way better value options it’s really hard to justify getting a bike with another motor.

In my case weight matters. I need to lose some

Set the bike up on the softer side , boost mode always. It’s like moto riding on a light weight bike. More smiles for the miles.

I’ll be interested in seeing the next TQ motor. My local trek dealer snuck off to Waterloo Road the newest one I’ll be interested in hearing your take on that one. I think more power is around the corner. Love what you guys bring to the table for all of us. 61 yr old rider here from Florida here.

I just bought a Santa Cruz Bullit. Had a Giant Trance advanced X E+ (??) before as my ebike and a Yeti SB160 as my park bike. Considered the Velduro as well, but I did a tonne of research and the Bullit seemed like the bike for me. I had my first proper ride on it yesterday, and it's the first bike I've ridden in the past 8 years that within my first lap I felt confident and comfortable. The Bosch is an exceptional system and I think had I gone with the Velduro (or other) to get the Avinox system I wouldn't have been as happy with the overall package.

Did six hours in and around Mammoth bike park yesterday. Transition Regulator CX. We were able to make some really cool new loops using some climbing options. Auto mode set to 600 watts and 85nm. We covered about 45 miles and were absolutely smoked at the end. Its more the bike than the motor.

I have the Regulator and it’s 46 lbs on a size medium. I never use Red Mode and rarely use purple. I want a silicon-carbon battery tech bike with smaller motor. I don’t need 120NM or even 750 watts. I would take a slightly less powered bike to get a bike under or close to 40 lbs. I rode (Shuttled) the Whoa trail and was really wishing on the downhill I had a Sentinel. Drops at slow speeds and being able to move the bike around is a dream. Really wish DJI would have gone that route with their newest motor. 300wh battery with range extender would be awesome to get the weight off the bike.
