I'm celebrating Alec Guinness's birthday today, April 2 (1914-2000), watching this movie. It's my 21st AG movie! Thanks for uploading.

Alec Guiness became a catholic while filming this in France. Dressed as a priest, in the soutane, the children of the village came up to him, and he was so touched by their affection for their village "priest", that he became a catholic.

What a great line up of great actors. Alex's eyes are very striking, almost scary.
