  Mai Tai is a 1963 Annapolis 44 monohull. &nbsp;Paid cash 37 years ago. &nbsp;She is too old to insure, except for 3rd party. &nbsp;Still sailing her slowly around the world in our late 70&apos;s. &nbsp;Wife loves her almost as much as I do. &nbsp;She is only 11&apos; wide so we can get into slips everywhere.

  55 M and 53 F, bought a 2008 Jeanneau 42 DS. Had her 3 seasons, spent 2 hurricane seasons in Trinidad; &quot;wonderful&quot;, this season was Louisianna. Ample room for a couple and sails wonderfully! So happy with our choice.

  Recently sold a 40 ft, 1972 River Queen made by U.S.Industries. She’s solid steel hull and two V-8 engines. Live aboard. We had her for 15 years at the same slip on a fresh water lake. Our lake house, where we anchored out and woke to peaceful mornings. <br>Insurance made us sell. They simply wouldn’t insure her old self. She’s now a rental cabin on shore at a resort hotel beside the same lake. <br>We got lucky in that sale. Otherwise it would’ve cost thousands to haul her out, she is so heavy. We didn’t have a trailer, so they had to improvise one to move her to her land locked new home.

  Any cruiser will tell you to stay out of the marinas! There is zero reason to live aboard a boat in a marina and if that is your plan then you already know there will be marina fees! Trying to claim 3/4 of these boats being sold due to costs is a fabricated lie call any broker today and ask! I did 4 of them. Living aboard can be quite cheap if you any sense about you. Probably the worst slanted video I’ve ever watched. I wanted to like this channel too! Please do your research and watch channels of folks out there sailing everyday! They will show you how wrong this guy is

  Cats may look beautiful and look ideal.. but once you realize your old and pulling sails sucks, standing in the cold sucks, waves slamming into your bedroom keeps you from sleeping and paying a small fortune to keep it in shape, you&apos;ll realize cats suck! Trawlers for the win!
