That ending..."And what can I do for you three gentlemen...AAAAAAHHHH!!!!" always gets me. This show's comedy is something else.

The way the laughter absolutely consumes the entire table in these episodes is really just the absolute BEST.

The scene in which Basil needs three tries to open a wine bottle because the cork keeps breaking, was a complete accident. John Cleese admits that it could never have worked that well if they'd tried to do it deliberately.

I’m so happy they recognised and gave recognition to Bernard Cribbins

I like in the fight when Mr Hitchenson says "I'm not a violent man"
and Basil says "Yes you are".
Bernard Cribbins was fantastic in this episode.

The ending sequence with the scream is a perfect piece of editing. To quick it doesn’t land, to long it loses its sting but the cut to credits on the scream is just perfect!!!

Bernard Cribbins actually went up against the Daleks before going up against Basil Fawlty as he was in the second Doctor Who movie starring Peter Cushing back in the 60s.

I'm old enough to have watched these when they were first broadcast.... I love how much you love them - they are classics. We quoted them endlessly at school 😂
