On the email thing, I don’t think it’s weird at all to put lol in an email. Sometimes I make it a “haha” if I know the person may be confused or something, but it’s in many emails of mine just to dispel some of my anxiety. Having someone get offended by that is very odd, but I’ve surprisingly had a similar experience where someone took me saying it as rude 😂

It's so comforting to hear your story about using tattoos as a way to combat anxiety!! I struggle with anxiety especially being in social situations! I just got my first tattoo and it was also an exercise in pushing myself outside of my comfort zone! My tattoo is now a reminder that I can do things that scare me!

as someone with a bunch of tattoos, i love this video!! i have been going to the same tattoo artist for all of mine, so it’s so interesting to hear about your experiences in talking to artists and information. <br><br>i think the “LOL” thing is so unfortunate. if they are from another country or are not a native english speaker, i would understand being a little confused on the context of “LOL”…but it’s the weird coincidence of them posting something about it the same day. i feel like there’s a lot of professionalism in just saying “hey, the LOL confused me, so sorry.” vs posting a whole story post about it… just my opinion!!

Thank you for sharing your tattoo journey with us! As a tattoo artist myself I definitely agree with speaking up if you want something changed! I want my clients to love what they get and be 100% happy with it. It's on you forever so don't feel bad about speaking up. 💖

As a tattoo artist I want to comment on just one thing Gibi said - she said about planning your future tattoos very in-depth with creating multiple mood boards and printing tattoos and taping them to your body etc. So my comment on that is: it is good when a client has a clear vision on what they want, BUT if that vision is too clear and set in stone and if the client gets too specific and picky about every element of the tattoo that can really stress, frustarte and maybe even anger your tattoo artist because it's restricting their vision and creativity + as tattoo artists they probably have more experience with what's doable and what's gonna look/age well on skin. So yeah, get inspired, look at reference photos, make mood boards etc, but please also leave room for the tattoo artist's vision and imagination. When you choose a tattoo artist just make sure, before booking in, that you really love their style and that you can TRUST them with their creativity. :)
