A mechanic had a dog named "Mace" who had a habit of eating the grass in the lawn, so he had to keep Mace inside. The grass became overgrown. One day the mechanic was working on his car and dropped a wrench in the tall grass. He couldn't find it and decided to call it a day. That night, Mace escaped from the house and ate all the grass. The next morning, the mechanic went out and saw his wrench glinting in the sunlight. He looked up to the heavens and proclaimed... "A grazing Mace, how sweet the hound that saved a wrench for me!"

There’s something beautiful about a woodworking shop that has all these old tools. It’s just not the same walking into a woodworking shop that has everything new🤷♀️

Looks like I need to built a display case. 🧐 the reason people discard the old tools and buy new is they don’t know how to sharpen them. Hard to be a carpenter or cabinet maker and not learn the value of a sharp tool.

I have my grandfather's 18 inch wood block plane that he brought with him as he emigrated to America from Slovakia. The steel holds an edge better than any I could buy today.
