  What would really kill the grey market is if cig would make all the ships available all the time and stop with their stupid artificial scarcity.

  Alot of older players have used packs as the savings are huge, to solve that they should let you buy a LTI token even if it locks a pledge down etc

  I strongly suspect we are going to also see some updates to the future of the Buyback system as welll soon. I think Squadron was a first step, I think they will be sunsetting buybacks end of the year and this is part of that.<br><br>Edit: Also worth noting that I further suspect Squadron 42&apos;s demo in Oct will coincide with preorder launch, and they will want to capitalize on that.

  I think this was another move to prevent any previously existing giftable packages that contain squadron from being sold via the grey market rather than from CIG directly. &nbsp;I have made sure to get anything I wanted from my buyback out already because I&apos;m sure that system will be sunsetted or restricted at some point.<br><br>I hope that CIG continues to offer second chances to aquire things people might have missed as its something incoming players WILL go looking for a market for.

  Thanks for the video! That’s a move I really didn’t expect. It certainly seems aimed at the gray market, but it affects others too; personally, I bought a package with the Aurora MKII to keep on my account, intending to gift it to a friend if he eventually decides to play. Of course, in that case, I’ll have to gift whatever is available at the time, and most likely without LTI or else have that money tied up in my hangar without being able to use the ship in the meantime. Well, ultimately, the game is still in development, so I suppose changes like this will become more common as we get closer to version 1.0.

  It means they are preparing to sell something during or shortly after the October event. Probably SQ42 presales with special stuff. They&apos;ll probably use this new system to limit the Grey market access.
