Patagonia is a region shared between Argentina and Chile. Although there are similarities, there are also significant differences between both sides due to their geography. This video mainly showcases the Argentine side of Patagonia, characterized by vast, empty, and desolate desert landscapes. However, if you cross the Andes Mountains to the Chilean side of Patagonia, the landscape changes completely: it is wetter, greener, and more mountainous due to the influence of the Pacific Ocean. This scenery is very similar to that of New Zealand and includes fjords, cold rainforests, numerous islands, national parks, and greater rich biodiversity. Additionally, its geography is more rugged and difficult to access by land, making many areas reachable only by boat or plane. To me, it’s one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Greetings from Chile!

Patagonia is one of the most incredible and beautiful places in the world. The Chilean side has more rain, vegetation, and other-worldly views, like an ancient world without humans. Its landscapes are spectacular.

We went to Patagonia twice, 2023 and 2024. There isn’t a day I don’t think about living there forever. Such a spiritual place, beautiful landscapes, polite people, the perfect place for who enjoy nature. Patagonia, you have my heart!!

You're definitely one brave man, crossing all that in one of the most unreliable cars in the world

I visited some of the most northern towns of patagonia a few years ago and am still suffering from separation anxiety. Its was so beautiful and simple that i cried on my flight back home. I didnt want to go back to a mundane environment that is a modern city. Chilean Patagonia will always have a piece of my heart.

I’ve been there and Patagonia inspired me to write a novel “The Best Way Out….A South American Odyssey”. I love that place

As a Chilean, I love how dramatic the video and the comments are, like I hadn't even realized how crazy and overwhelming something I'm already used to living can be. And I haven't even lived there (I live in central Chile), but I guess I've taken enough 3-day road trips just to get to one city or town that I'm used to how desolate but comforting Patagonia is.

For anyone reading this comment and is planning a trip to Patagonia (especially on the Argentinian side) I suggest going in the middle of the night to any desolated road and just look at the stars and listen to the silence (you can even hear your heartbeat), it is an amazing experience 🙌🏼

Recently my wife and I (both in our 70s) visited Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, and were strongly impacted by their raw beauty and grand landscapes. Your video showed me the Chilean side, which we had not visited, and that too is extremely beautiful. I must say your filming of the sunrise in the last part of your video was truly spectacular--congratulations. Cloud formations in El Calafate when we were there were quite unusual, and sunsets amazing. This is definitely an area of the earth which more people should visit. Well done!

Patagonia has plenty of stunning places. Many very well-traveled people say it is the most beautiful place in the world. I particularly love the vegetation. It's a remnant of the ancient Gondwana continent.
