  Unlike Soccer, in American football, you want to get up as quickly as possible. Even if the hit you just took hurts like hell. You don’t want to communicate to the other team that they hurt you. So if at all possible, you want to get up as quickly as possible and act like you didn’t feel that. Make them think they can’t hurt you and you are stronger than them. &nbsp;Need to make them afraid and less confident. If they think they can hurt you, it makes them more confident.

  I&apos;m very happy to see you are picking up facets of the game. &nbsp;A good series of videos are how to watch NFL games like a coach/coordinator. &nbsp;You are taught step by step all the positions , basic plays , rules , etc..... The referees are assisted by video replay officials off field in a booth and in a remote tv studio location. &nbsp;Head to head hits while illegal now still happen in games. &nbsp;These players are moving so fast , and are so powerful it won&apos;t necessarily be a deliberate effort but happens in the blink of an eye. &nbsp;A lot of players ( not the offensive/defensive lineman and linebackers ) are near and at Olympic speeds. &nbsp;Many runners/receivers ran track in college. &nbsp;There is an injury report after each game and just before the next game. &nbsp;Preseason is where all players veterans and rookies/draft picks are competing for the final roster position after the final preseason game when the team is cut down to 53 for the regular season. &nbsp;There is also chances to make the practice squad where you can replace an injured regular player. &nbsp;Keep learning guys we enjoy your learning the game.

  Many times the head to head contact is caused by the ball carrier lowering his head into the tackler, but it is very rare for him to get called for a penalty . Bit by bit , in its ongoing quest for more scoring to keep the know nothing casual fans interested , the NFL keeps putting in rules which favor the offense and penalize the defense. It has gotten close to the point where they penalize the dense for even existing .Also you begin to understand why US football fans can&apos;t watch soccer where the players fall down and act like they&apos;re dying if an opponent even looks in their direction .

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTSXBOSAQn8&amp;t=410">6:50</a> guys football has plays. Its not a bunch of people running around making stuff up as they go. This was a play action, meaning the quarterback fakes the handoff to the running back and then looks to throw to a receiver. The reason the Steelers receiver was so open was because everyone on the broncos defense bit on the fake handoff. Notice how everyone goes to the right but the receiver and quarterback go to the left. It’s misdirection. The receiver was always going to run the route he did, so it was more of a bad play by the defense than a good play by the offense. Play actions are pretty routine plays run all the time so the bronco’s defense should have had someone over there to cover the left side. Bottom line, the receiver did exactly what he was supposed to do. The defense biting on the fake handoff and abandoning the left side of the field is what made that play work.
