Qatar CAN'T be a serious "mediator" between countries in conflict - while hosting a huge military complex for one of the sides of the conflict.

Excellent analysis.  Thank you.  I just returned to the US from a month long trip to Egypt.  I had a choice of flying on Qatar through Doha or on Turkish through Istanbul.  I chose the latter since they offered to pay for two nights at a hotel complimentary in Istanbul for US citizens if we extended our stopover in Istanbul.  I chose to do it on my return.  The day I left Istanbul was the day the bombing started.  I had no idea that there was a war about to begin, or that it had begun.  I wasn't paying attention to the news while I was in Egypt.  I shudder to think what might have happened if I had flown on Qatar through Doha.  I almost chose this option since it was cheaper, but thought it was worth paying a little more for the opportunity to visit Istanbul for three days.  Grateful that everything worked out for me, but truly sorry for all the other travelers who were adversely affected by this war.  Not to mention all the innocent victims.

How can you be neutral when you have USA bases in your country. Pure neutral countries like Switzerland and Ireland dont have foreign military bases on their territory

It is a better side of the Emirates or Etihad Airways. Qatar truly developed Doha as a destination for the World Cup Soccer and has immense iconic attractions .

That’s way small countries better stay neutral for real

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, were all developed by Western money, American and Israeli. But the leaders there thought they could just break away afterward and start financing Islamists all over the world against the people who fed them. Thus they are getting taught a lesson and put back into their place.

Magnificent poetic justice. <br>Hundreds of billions of $$$ spent on bribes, media and influence throughout the world and on top of that fueling terror group and pushing vile propaganda- all of those didn’t help them on the day.

would never fly an airline that directly or indirectly support the HAMAS!

Dubai and Qatar became major aviation hubs by offering extremely low-cost jet fuel to their own airlines and to European carriers, which might otherwise struggle under high spending and luxury costs. By becoming aviation hubs, they have also, in my view, become centers where issues like human and sex trafficking are a concern.
