  The biggest disservice the movie did was depicting the astronauts as panicky, petty people. In other words as normal men. These men were chosen specifically because they were cool under pressure. Even in the face of their own death.

  I was a software systems engineer for the Apollo 8, 11 and 13 Telemetry System. The Telemetry System developed at NASA Greenbelt MD and distributed to Mission Control Houston to monitor the mission. I was called to come into NASA and make changes to the CAD (Computer Aided Display) so Mission Control could monitor the Astronauts vitals simultaneously from both the CSM & LEM on a single screen. The changes were made and downloaded to Mission Control Houston.

  Amy, my wife and I listened to this in real time on our B/W TV set with the screwdriver lodged in the tuner to keep the contacts working. This is the closest rendition after the fact that resembles what we were hearing in real time. Thanks for doing the work. Astounding.

  Amy, this documentary is an incredible accomplishment. The detail, the polish, the animations, the use of voice and imagery from the mission is so good that it looks like you had a large team contributing. You should be very very proud.

  Amy is Superb as always.   I'm 74, graduated from high school six weeks before Apollo XI and grew up loving "the program."  I remember XIII so well.  I was a freshman in college taking a "space science" class when it happened.  The guy teaching the class surprisingly knew next to nothing about what was happening.  The students started asking me to answer their questions.  It was so scary.  I think the day after landing I still couldn't believe they were safely down.  Again, three cheers for Amy

  They turned on the classroom televisions in my Catholic grade school so we could watch the splashdown. Our stern principal had us say a prayer for their safe return. The class got quiet during the wait for communications from the capsule. Some of the girls were crying. We all cheered when the parachutes appeared!!!!!

  Halfway through and my take away already is that Fred Haise could think faster and further ahead than everyone else in that comms chain.
