  Inzi announces himself to the world. Chasing 100 off the last 12 in pre-T20 days was such a miracle. Only Pakistan could pull such a feat back then. What an amazing and complete side. The master of swing Wasim Akram and Aqqib with the ball. Then the leg spin of Mushtaq. Useful bowler in Aamir Sohail. Batting had the stroke maker Sohail, the long innings player Ramiz. Imran, Akram who could take any attack to the cleaners on their day. The calm and composed Javed whose sheer presence was a terror to the opposition. Then the magician Inzi and the finisher Moin Khan. Most deserved winners of the 1992 WC

  I was just 7 years old and matches used to start at 3am and as expected i slept through the whole match. I vividly remember my mother woke me up and said ‘asad dekho pakistan jeet raha hai’ and just then moin khan hits the winning 4. <br>Off course pakistan later on won many memorable matches and i saw them live but those childhood memories just never vanishes.<br>Long live this beautiful game of cricket.

  New Zealand 🇳🇿 was supreme . But I was always confident that we will defeat them . Great childhood days . Love ❤that New Zealand side too . Mark Greatbatch , Martin Crowe were terrific players . And the spinner Dipak Patel bowling in the 1st 10 overs was a masterstroke . Really sad about the demise of Martin Crowe . For me South Africa 🇿🇦 and New Zealand 🇳🇿 were great sides .Cricket was far more exciting than T20 cricket crap in these days .

  31 years later and this game still evokes many memories for cricket fans old enough to remember where they were on that fateful day on 21 March 1992. NZ&apos;s audacious tournament came to an end, and credit to Pakistan for winning the clutch moments under pressure. First Inzamam, then Moin, with veterans Imran and Javed guiding the chase along the way. &nbsp;In his post-match assessment injured captain Martin Crowe said his absence cost his side victory. &nbsp;Harsh, but understandable sentiment: Crowe was the architect behind NZ&apos;s campaign; delivering not only with the bat, but as the strategist in the field. &nbsp;In 1992, only two teams won chasing a target in excess of 250: Sri Lanka in their opening game v Zim, and Pak in the S/F. &nbsp;NZ would also have batted second but the weather forecast was for rain in the afternoon and the rain rule as it then was favoured the side batting first. &nbsp;The rain did come - well after the match ended! &nbsp;NZ got redemption of sorts in the WC2015 S/F when Elliott deposited Steyn for six to carry NZ to their maiden WC final. &nbsp;But 21/03/1992 will always remain as the day the NZ dream died...and evokes &apos;what might have been&apos;.

  The moment still makes you emotional on that win, after such a long time, what a moment when a mis hit from Moeen went for a six , great memories.😆👍

  In those days 250 plus was a mountain chase but miandad anchor role and Inzi thunderstorm innings make it easy

  So finally I have seen this gem of an innings by inzi which was cut shorted in small highlights. A real classic one 🙌

  92 WC ~ title song + inzi&apos;s arrival + imran&apos;s leadership + javed&apos;s usual calmness. It had everything cricket&apos;s biggest occasion demanded!

  Miandad is cricket intelligent. He quickly realized the boundaries are comparatively easy to reach as ground is small. Inzimam can those boundaries so he advises Inzi to play his shots as much as possible and not taking singles or doubles. By that it was easier to send Inzi back to pavilion. All Kiwis had to do is to stop flow of boundaries and then Inzi was bound to make mistake but it didn&apos;t happen because they didn&apos;t create enough pressure on these batters.
