The sax player/multi-instrumentalist is Mark Rivera, who still plays with Billy to this day. He's an incredibly talented and charismatic dude.

Oh boy, did you just open a BIG rabbit hole Stacey! You just started a journey into a musician whose storytelling and wordsmithing is rarely equaled, and NEVER rivaled. He has this rare ability to write songs that are almost universally relatable, while still making you feel that he's singing just to you. Amazingly talented artist!

Glad you discovered Billy Joel, such a talent, great music. His single, 'She's always a woman', will bring you to tears

He had been in a motorcycle accident several months earlier that had injured both his hands. He'd actually had the tip of the bone removed from that thumb which is why he had it wrapped up and was shaking it out a few times after piano heavy bits. Still recovering.

"That's all I heard about Brenda and Eddie, can't tell you more, cause I told you already, and here we are waving Brenda and Eddie goodbye" Brilliant line.

5:48 About the hand shaking - he had a serious motorcycle accident not long before this where he flipped over a car and his hands broke his fall. He was recording the Nylon Curtain at the time and had to take a break from making the record to recover.

"New York State of Mind", "Vienna", "Just the Way You Are", and "Uptown Girl" are a few of his enormous catalog that you need to hit. Incidentally, Billy was married to the supermodel Christie Brinkley, and he wrote 'Uptown Girl' for her. They have a grown daughter who sometimes plays Billy's shows with him, and just recently Christie was in the audience for one of his shows, and he sang the song while they put her picture on the big screen. Even though both have remarried, they remain very close friends to this day.

Each timing change is the introduction to another scene from the Italian Restaurant.
