  I LOVE the stupid doppelganger lore. I think it&apos;s hilarious that Elena and Stefan are revealed to be literal magic soulmates <i>after the show has clearly decided that Elena will end up with Damon.</i>

  So, Damon shows up and people are afraid of him because he is dangerous. Then Katherine shows up, who is even more dangerous. Then it turns out that Katherine is on the run from Klaus, who is even more dangerous. Then it turns out that he is on the run from somebody even more dangerous...Bottom line, there&apos;s always a bigger fish.

  I hated how they wasted the potential of Bonnie. She wasn&apos;t treated the same as Elena or Caroline, the white female protagonists. We never got to see Bonnie&apos;s home life or her relationship with her parents. For the most part, she was just treated as the &quot;Brains&quot; of the group, designed to support the other characters.

  damon didnt just &quot;sleep with&quot; caroline, she was compelled for a majority of it. statutory rape aside, which is crazy to say, it was rape and it is never addressed. elena was a terrible friend
