Ok the difference between the Dark Knight suit and the Dark Knight Rises suit is that TDKR suit’s joints between the plates are actually reinforced. Meaning it could stop the knife. Since it was destroyed when the Bat fought Bane, he wore TDK suit which has weak spots in the joints between the plates.

Ngl when Batman got the suit upgrade in the dark knight, that was just next level. The movie, the suit upgrade, the batpod, all that made the dark knight a timeless classic.
