They have to over fill the plant beds because over time they’ll naturally compress. They look like shrubs that have been planted, which are hardy and can take a punishing. iLived in Bournemouth & Boscombe for years, they did similar, we all got worried, but in three years (the time it takes for the shrubs to establish) it’ll look Beautiful Steve. Don’t worry everyone - so glad that you all care so much about your Island - We Love You People ❤️✖️

Great vlog. Thank you for the update Steve. Maybe they will adapt it once they see the high maintenance. The road is lovely; far better than the pothole roads we have here.

My husband and I went to that ice-cream place on our first time in Malta. It was lovely. Fruit in there with the ice-cream. Hubby enjoyed it that much that he got another one. Lovely place. Love the fronts there. We stayed just further along from there. Up a side street. Really like Malta

FINISHED BUT NOT REALLY FINISHED 🌴 ⛲ 😊.
I fully agree with you Steve 💯 % - that square project doesn't look finished. It desperately needs some modern shade sails and edging around the plant areas🌾🌱. For cleaning the staining they need a pressure cleaner and apply some concrete sealer to reduce the staining 🤔. A thorough inspection by the Architect is a must. The Bugibba Breakwater looks great at least ⛴️ ⛵.
Thanks for the update Englishman 📽️ 🙏.
Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ❤️ 🇪🇺

I just spent my first 5 days in Malta, we stayed in Bugibba and were lucky the square was finished just in time. I noticed the lack of shelter and I saw kids running over the plant sections but we were only there in the evenings after exploring Malta the rest of the time (which was brilliant).

A fine Pro stonework on the road, with the stones in fine bows! I do miss coming down from Denmark, but my similarly aged wife claims we are too old, now both 78, and if something happens to one of us, we will be in trouble! But in our Danish Town in Mellieha, we are closer to the ferries to Gozo, if wanted. I wasn't aware of ferries to Comino, but of course, they also sail. I would have loved to bring my Brompton, though I'm sure that using a bike on Malta will be "Special", on the narrow roads, and I have hardly found bike paths along roads down there. Finn. Denmark

I agree with you steve , you have to have shade , the suns a killer , here in melbourne at the height of summer the sun is murder . And i also agree with the garden beds , where the hell is the border to hold in the soil ??? and yes how stupid to have to clean that pavement every other day , wasnt thought of very closely was it !!! bloody ridiculous , cant wait for the first torrential downpour and i guarantee the soil will be EVERYWHERE , L O L
