  cosmetologist here! neither sides are good, I believe the hair stylist was freshly out of hair school and typically you'd shadow a senior stylist for a few years before actually taking clients yourself so really Ashlyn shouldn't have been taking clients and the salon shouldn't have had her do that let alone doing a chemical service and especially one that permanently changes the hairs internal structure. BUT! Millie knowingly went into that salon and told the stylist that she hasn't touched her hair with bleach in over 10 years when she had her whole head bleached 5 years ago and had highlights a year ago, if I heard 10 years ago I would think its either all been cut off given her length or at the very least most of it. there are circumstances where stylists will do perms on colored hair (not bleached) especially if the client understands the consequences of it (which apparently Ashlyn did given she said it might melt her hair) but there's not a hair stylist in god damn hell that would do a perm on previously bleached hair, thats a license violation and could cause you to get your license suspended or stripped from you. Its just a really awful situation

  They make perms that are safe to use on colored hair but if you say it’s natural the stylist isn’t going to use it because it’s weaker. For very obvious reasons

  even if she lied the stylist was unprofessional and rude afterwards. ignoring her and saying &quot;i didnt do that!&quot; and not helping her in any way is not someone who should be handling hair or people in general. the stylist needed a reality check to learn how to actually treat clients. i don&apos;t think its solely her fault, she still got her hair ruined at the end of the day. anyone would be justifiably upset about that.
