  Preach ! I have been a Protestant all of my life but at 59 yrs old I find myself being led by the Holy Spirit to EO. I find myself getting fed the word of God more and more by this Priest and leaving feeling truly inspired and full. God bless you Sir. 🙏🏼

  Becoming arrogant Christians is truly a challenge we must all fight with. Because we know the truth, especially Orthodox Christians, we might consider ourselves above others. Some Jews got into that trap, and thank you father Josiah for reminding us of that!<br>Us Serbs also had to learn that lesson. In 12-14th century our empire was so powerful both spiritually and physically. Our kings became saints! We were so rich, even today the most beautiful monasteries are from that time! ❤ But we got arrogant, noble families started fighting for power, slowly forgetting about God. And the country fell into 500 year long slavery! After Constantinople fell for the same arrogance, we were next. 😢

  I love that this started with Fr. Josiah saying there was enough grace in Holy Week to fill us for rest of the year. I was walking into church with a friend on the last Friday of lent and she commented on how Holy Week was like a spiritual recharge to get us through to the next Holy Week and I totally agreed with her. The year for me doesn’t really start till the Feast of the Resurrection.
