  I take my comfrey, chop it.up with a machete into smaller pieces and pack it into a five gallon bucket with a bag of brown sugar and some distilled water amd let it rest in the basement for the winter where it will.ferment and make the most amazing fermented plant extract to use on plants in the spring

  Polycropping; avoiding plowing and bare earth practices; avoiding synthetic chemical inputs;making sure soil always has several inches of living, green plant cover over it; avoiding dessication,  solarization of soil; and other ways of encouraging soil biome diversity are what really brings back soil depth and fertility.   Why grow crops we find less useful/desirable when the key points mentioned in this post do a better overall job and have the ability to feed us better with lower costs...

  I am going to try to talk my apartment complex into allowing me to plant different areas with some of these plants you showed. &nbsp;I just have to keep our overzealous landscaping crew to let certain patches alone. &nbsp;I already knew about clover and planted a small area next to our rear entrance and roped it off and asked the lawn crew not to mow it or spray on it and there is a noticeable difference in that area. &nbsp;I will make sure my manager watches this video so she understands what I am trying to accomplish.<br>Thanks for all the great tips.

  Several species of Clover in North America are considered threatened or endangered. Crazy when you realize it grows in just about every yard in North America.

  I have a 2 acre field which was once a pasture. &nbsp;Now jt just has bad soil and bad, hardcore weeds? &nbsp;This is in the Northwest of the US (Montana). &nbsp;We’ve tried many natural things to get rid of the weeks and they haven’t worked yet. &nbsp;It’s better, but still grows out of control in the summer. We won’t use herbicides or any of the commercial products to get rid of weeds. &nbsp;We don’t have the machines to easily get rise of the high weeds once it gets out of control. &nbsp;Any suggestions???
