  1. Russia is incapable of planning. Russian plan: throw resources into a hole.<br>2. Whatever plan they may have had, was driven and carried by corruption - and run into the ground<br>3. No plan survives contact with the enemy. Or reality.

  NATO should:<br>Shoot done ANY Russian drones, or planes, that cross into NATO airspace.<br>Blockade/close the Baltic Sea, to any sanctioned ships<br>Support Ukraine, with money, weapons production agreements and most critically, with weapons. Patriots, Tomahawks, whatever Ukraine needs right now.<br>Russia can be defeated now, with support, by Ukraine. If NATO keeps dithering, then Russia will come for NATO and the cost to defeat Russia will be MUCH higher. In both blood and money

  Here&apos;s a fun fact ( according to Gemini ) in the past 250 years, Russia has been invaded 2 times ( Hitler and Napoleon ), which is terrible. However, they have invaded their neighbors more than 20 times in that same period. Make your own judgement about how to deal with them.

  Dear CENTRE FOR EASTERN STUDIES,<br>Thank you for another well presented piece. &nbsp;The Putin Regime failed with the United States because they believed that President Trump &quot;was&quot; the will of the American People, and the US Government. Also because they misunderstood how completely empty of any Socio-economic or Geo-political philosophy or historical understanding was President Trump. The shock of how utterly ( almost childishly ) &quot;transactional&quot; he was took them off guard. The fact of the matter is that a significant portion of the American Public, Intelligence Community, and Military believed in the necessity of supporting NATO and helping the Ukrainian people ( some even considering putting &quot;...boots on the ground...&quot; ), indeed this feeling of intent to help is so deep that there have been many, many Corporate and US Government &quot;back channels&quot; going between America and Ukraine that do not see the light of day.<br>The Putin Regime recognizes that their chance to have taken territory to have increased their bargaining position while Trump was in Power has been lost, and that the US / Russian political position is moving towards a significantly greater confrontational relationship soon.

  Believe it or not, but this has been communicated with the USA because the SAME people are running both the USA and Russia: all they want is to weaken the entire world and strengthen Israel and the USA.

  Unfortunately, the Russian Ukraine war will likely continue as a war of attrition. Neither side can achieve a decisive victory. Ukraine is fighting for its existential survival. Russia is fighting to maintain a periphery of influence as western influence grows along its border. But a twist is that likely Putin is also fighting for his survival, for if Russia loses this, his life might be in jeopardy. I do not see an eventual end to this war, as sad as it is to say. I want to see Ukraine win, but it is hard to see a true victory for them. It will likely be a shaky ceasefire, making the DMZ look like sunshine and rainbows. Due to the West&apos;s reticence to help Ukraine and to truly punish Russia, Russia has been able to gear and maintain its economy and war effort, this war has dragged on far longer than it could&apos;ve, had more aid and weapons been given to Ukraine.

  My question is, does the west do any hybrid actions against Russia, or is the west just waiting for Russia to escalate? You keep complaining about what Russia does to you but you never talk about the things you do to Russia. Sanctions, illegal boarding of ships, confiscating property of Russian citizens, sheltering enemies of Russia on your territory, fueling the war by providing weapons and intelligence to Ukraine. Assisting in targeting Russian infrastructure and many other hostile acts. Please cry me a river.
