  Si je comprends bien, sans la motivation, l&apos;argent et l&apos;esprit scientifique des européens les bâtiments d’Égypte seraient encore sous le sable ? Je vois le sphinx sous le sable au temps de Napoléon par exemple. Pas un dirigeant égyptien n&apos;a eu l&apos;idée de creuser un peu, de restaurer le passé de son pays ? J&apos;hallucine ! Et encore de nos jours, creuser, restaurer, investiguer sont des activités très difficiles à cause des politiciens corrompus. Il faut sans arrêt donner des billets pour faire quoi que ce soit en Égypte, c&apos;est du vécu.

  The world owes the French enormous gratitude for the work they&apos;re doing throughout Egypt, but especially at Karnak. There are archeological strata &amp; historical questions &amp; jumbled blocks of stone from various temples &amp; monuments across the entire country. These Egyptologists have to determine 1. How old the part they&apos;re working on is. Then, where did the stones come from -- were they original to the site, or &quot;re-used&quot; from other spots (common with both Horemheb &amp; Rameses II). After that they need to determine is this from the original temple, or the one the Ptolemies expanded &amp; added to the enclosure. -- ALL of that before they can even begin to determine the meaning of the inscriptions -- once again, starting with &quot;which reign did these come from?&quot; <br><br>Anyhow, it&apos;s incredibly complex and requires some of the brightest minds on the planet to put together all the pieces. Kudos!
