Most "national parks" in North America aren't really like parks in the in old world. They're huge areas that are specifically kept undeveloped with only a handful of staff stationed throughout them to keep a watch on things. In the US, about 1000 people get lost in the parks each year and while most of them are eventually located, there are still hundreds of people who just straight-up disappear and are never found each year.

There&apos;s usually some truth to folklore of Native tribes. They have been in Canada and USA for centuries. Best to listen to the stories and legends.

As a Canadian, it’s nice seeing you watch a video on one of Canada’s most bizarre places. Canada also has a lot of cool Cryptids and myths that are fun to look into.

There exists a meme that shows the drastic difference between European and North American forests with one picture showing European forests that’s beautiful and happy while the North American forests being filled with unspeakable horrors that will remove you from the earth, funnily enough this isn’t even the biggest place where Canadians go missing because that is in the lower part of my Province of British Columbia. In and around currently populated areas in the southern part of BC there are reports of people disappearing from the early 1900’s to as recent as 2018 (if I remember that latest date correctly), all have creepily similar settings where Search And Rescue dogs just don’t pick up the persons scent….as if the person just disappeared from the face of the earth. Happy times 😊

Willingly go into Nahanni Valley? That&apos;s a big &quot;NO!&quot; from me! <br>I imagine the modern &quot;gold prospector&quot; that goes into that valley would be someone looking for social media views to &quot;uncover&quot; the valley&apos;s secrets. Greed is still there. It&apos;s just in a different form of currency. Also, about the Mounted Police, some First Nations people (Canadian Native Americans) were a part of it as early as the 1890s. They probably know something we don&apos;t and they don&apos;t want to mess with it. One thing&apos;s for sure, whether it was people, animals, or the supernatural, that valley won enough times for the Canadian government to block it off.

I don&apos;t know if anyone told you yet, but it was very normal to not see a person for long periods of time due to the limited technology back then, and the fact that it takes a long time to get to places, do what you need to (find gold, pack it, and leave), and the journey back being just as long. Sending a message would take weeks or months before reaching the person you wrote to, depending where you were. Also, people are just stubborn, especially when it came to something like gold, and the simple reason of just &quot; We can at least try&quot;.
