In New Testament times, Christians gathered on Sunday as a communal event, the broke bread together and then were instructed in the spirit. Then after their physical and spiritual needs were met, they conducted communion. That meaning has been lost to history, everything is now ritualized, cut, stapled and folded into something that perverts it.

The night in which the Lord was betrayed, clearly tells us that the 'testator' was still around and very much alive. In other words there is an element of the Passover meal during the night itself. The Apostle Paul clearly touched on the element of the 'New Testament' when he wrote to the community in Corinth, well after the 'testator' died. Thus the partaking of the Lord's Supper is clearly an act of remembrance of the 'testator' sacrifice and proclamation of the testator's death till the Lord comes.

The lord’s supper is not the Passover but the preparation day. Jesus is the Passover lamb. We practiced the Lord’s supper till He comes.

The Lord’s Supper is not a mere symbol, nor is its primary purpose in introspective memorialism (Matthew 26:26–28; Mark 14:22–25; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26). Rather, it is the true body and blood of Christ (Matthew 26:26; Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:22; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:19; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 10:16), given and shed for you, in and with the bread and wine (Luke 22:19; Matthew 26:28). It is given for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28; Luke 22:20). Thus the Lord’s Supper is a gift to be received. Faith receives the gift, but the gift is true whether or not faith is present (1 Corinthians 11:27–29). Those who believe Christ’s promise receive the gift in a worthy manner (1 Corinthians 11:28). Those who do not eat and drink judgment upon themselves (1 Corinthians 11:27; 1 Corinthians 11:29).

The question is very pressing. Ignatius called you, you personally a heretic. Ignatius being the pastor of the Church of Antioch, having lived during the time of the Apostle.<br><br>Either Ignatius is in grave error or you are in grave error.<br><br>"They [heretics] abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again."

Smh. The Lords Supper is to feed on the Bread of Life and share in His cup of suffering with other believers.
