Creating Space for the Extraordinary Life Within You with Guest Suzi Lula

What if nothing is fundamentally wrong with you? What if, underneath the layers of shame, trauma, self-judgment, and conditioning, there is a part of you that has always been whole? In this powerful episode of Unharmable, TJ Woodward sits down with spiritual therapist and Soul Psychology Academy founder Suzi Lula for a deeply moving conversation about healing, consciousness, emotional freedom, and remembering who we truly are. Suzi introduces her powerful metaphor of the “Golden Cord of Consciousness” — the idea that we are born whole, worthy, connected, and comfortable in our being, before life begins teaching us that something about us is broken, wrong, or not enough. Together, TJ and Suzi explore what happens when we begin identifying with those experiences and turn protective strategies into an unconscious identity. They dive into: The Golden Cord of Consciousness and the belief that we are born whole How trauma, family, culture, and conditioning create “knots” in consciousness Why we can confuse what happened to us with who we are Why understanding our patterns intellectually isn't always enough to create transformation The importance of safety, compassion, and the felt experience of healing How survival strategies can become automatic patterns in adulthood Moving beyond self-blame, self-shame, and self-criticism Why looking at a picture of yourself as a young child can become a powerful healing practice What toddlers can teach us about failure, persistence, curiosity, and compassion Understanding emotions as energy in motion rather than something to avoid Suzi's Emotional Messenger System and learning to become curious about what emotions are communicating The transformative idea that “the universe is for you” Moving beyond spiritual bypassing and learning to hold both pain and possibility The difference between having a wound and believing that the wound defines you This is a conversation about untangling the knots, creating internal safety, reconnecting with our essential nature, and coming home to the part of ourselves that was never actually broken. You are not the knot. You are the consciousness underneath it. If this conversation speaks to you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who could benefit from this message.
