Can we take a minute to appreciate her backing singers? It’s not an easy song and they keep up so greatly with the tune n Raye

Raye has said many times in interviews that she loves musicianship. Real live music. She never ever performs to backing tracks and every song she ever performs is never the same. She changes it every single time and not just the order of lyrics, but whole phrases and styles. She acknowledges her craft, her singers, her band. She knows that they help create the sounds that she wants. Her knowledge of music is insane. She studied her craft and she plays her instruments and she writes music. Before she hit the big time she wrote music for some of the big hitters like Beyoncé. She was forced to write and perform trash pop, but she freed herself to express her music in the way that she wanted to and this is the result. People compare her to Amy, but she’s beyond that, doing her thing in her way. She’s just simply Raye.

This version of the song she's really found such a unique blend of Jazz and a modern London accent coming through, She reminds me a lot of Amy Winehouse but in her own style. She's going to take over for sure in the coming years.

Not just the backup singers the entire band. Not just drums and guitar and bass; they have horns, they have extra percussion, and they all have choreographed moves. The bigger the stage the more the backup folks do. This is a fabulous group. This song kicks ass. And the backup singers and the entire band really make it come alive. Bravo! ❤❤❤ This

What the hell did I just see. She's so talented, but the whole group is also so damn tight. Damn!

This is the classiest song of this decade and doesn’t have any vulgarity and is actually kind of sweet and innocent. I like that my wife and I can jam to catchy tunes without being like 😬around family or kids. No explicit content and great composition.
