  Substance...substance is what music is missing these days.  For instance,when she wrote "Plenty of Room" she wrote it from a "future" perspective.  She wrote it, albeit unknowingly, that it would be a timeless song, on a timeless, classic album. It is  seldom that today's music and its artists capture that true essence.  This is why Ms.Baker is legend.

  She is a CLASSY PHENOMENAL WOMAN!!! I was 14 years old singing that Rapture album until I got hoarse! Her music was so therapeutic for me then and now!

  I love the sowing machine that put the stitches in her draws... I love her singing voice, her speaking voice, the lyrics she writes and the improvised scats she doesn't... The intelligence she speaks from and with, the control she always has, and how when she on stage, when everything is right how she lets it go... I love Anita Baker...
