If your throttle gets stuck, in a manual car you can shift into the highest gear possible and stall the car. The other option is to shift to neutral or and you can apply the handbrake (slowly) or brakes. It shouldn’t be, but if for some reason you can’t shift into neutral, just apply and hold the clutch while you brake and come to a stop, then shut the car off.

In an automatic, shift into neutral and brake. Don’t shut the car off as that will make you lose power steering and power/electronic brakes and risk locking the steering wheel.

I actually had that brake failure happened to me exiting a highway where my brake line blew I just threw the emergency brake on and threw the mini van sideways and it stopped thankfully no one was hurt and it stopped without hitting anything

 hung throttle solutions are:
--hit brakes (they are usually far more powerful than the torque from the shafts powering the wheels. this may or may not work with an ev as they have huge amounts of low end torque)
--turn off ignition (no spark = no engine however if its a diesel this wont do anything)
--shift to neutral (may not work in ev depending on ev fault causing the "hung throttle")
--push in clutch (another reason to drive a manual)
--pick up go pedal with your foot from the back (works when the return spring breaks)

3:24 im no expert, so dont take my word on this, but i think they would have a van or some other big vehicle pull up in front of your car, to gradually bring it to a stop

One way to stop a stuck throttle is to turn the key off, but not lock it. This will shut down the engine but still allow you to steer. I know this works with vehicles with an actual keyed ignition switch, but I do not know if this would work with modern keyless ignition systems.

Hey Camodo! You mentioned wanting to reach out about the traffic mayhem, just wanted to let you know I did fix it. The fix is submitted and should go live once the repo approves it, hopefully in the next day or so.
