  I feel like Ellis talking about Keith is his coping mechanism. He knows Keith is actually dead. It&apos;s the only reason Keith isn&apos;t with them right now. You&apos;re telling me our boy with the smooth brain wouldn&apos;t go look for his best friend? It kinda makes you feel bad when you hear the other people tell him to shut up.

  Payday The Heist&apos;s No Mercy mission was a full on easter egg to valve and is why people state/joke they started it. However, Payday 2&apos;s version of the mission is a &quot;Flashback.&quot; Duke saying, &quot;I feel like I shouldn&apos;t be here,&quot; is because he wasn&apos;t in Payday 1. The flashback references the original crew.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feZmLOH9yK4&amp;t=1880">31:20</a> The Payday Mercy Hospital has 2 exits, you got the wrong one.<br>1. exit by helicopter<br>2. exit through the morgue<br>The Morgue Exit takes the elevator down, A confused bane through the comms notes that the merc (police) units are leaving, then suddenly additional helicopters with rockets are coming (explosions in the background), the elevator cable snaps and you fall all the way down into the basement morgue and escape, but if you linger in the morgue before you escape, you&apos;ll see some of the corpses start groaning and spasm.<br>there is also a rare secret where bill can appear in the elevator and talk with the gang on mission start, and also a secret witch jumpscare in one of the doors near the patients.

  I had always thought that Keith existed and Ellis may have witnessed his demise during the outbreak, which is why he is always telling story to try and cope as well as remember the good times they had gone though. The exaggeration is part of the coping, making it seem like Keith is still out there. If getting so heavily burn didn&apos;t brimg him down, then the outbreak should have either as Ellis may want to believe.
