He has the perfect look for a serious romantic drama.

Honestly, she's not worth his time. She didn't learn anything from her past relationship. Her last guy had money but had bad character and left her high and dry. So "stability" on paper offers no guarantees. It's not whether someone "counts change" or spends lavishly. It's the character behind the money, or lack thereof, that will shine in the end. Someone could be counting change because they are a miser and/or cheap. Or they could be counting change because they need that extra dollar to nurture a great dream or to care for a loved one who is ill. You won't know unless you take the risk to get to know them beyond the money. She was too fearful to take that risk. Her #1 priority was to find a stable provider, not get to know someone's soul. Red flags. There was nothing wrong with him hiding his true identity for a while to see if true love could blossom beyond his social status. A woman with deeper character would have seen that and respected what he did, not gotten defensive and chastised him for it. He should have gone for her friend. Just as physically beautiful, but she has the same easy going outlook and values as him.
