  I once met Rodney Mullen at the University of Virginia. I was a 36 yr old college student, lifelong skater punk, in a room full of young 20-something medical students. I skated there from my house about 2 miles away. <br><br>After his presentation we chatted and he signed my board. <br><br>They say &apos;never meet your heroes,&apos; to which I say, &quot;Never meet your heroes, unless your hero is Rodney Mullen. Always meet Rodney Mullen.&quot;<br><br>He is one of the nicest, sincerest, and genuine, people I&apos;ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
