You don’t have to wait until 55 to start planning for retirement. $1.5M may be a starting point, but how you manage and grow it matters. As a crypto investor, John Michael Holleran has been one of the best mentors I’ve learned from. A friend introduced me to him, and I’m grateful for the guidance. He taught me to understand the market, manage risk, and invest with a long term mindset.

Rule of 55 only works if your company 401k plan has that provision. My company plan does not.

Yes, great content! I am 50, planning to retire in 5 years or so and this is great info! My numbers are similar to this person but I'm at $1.7M and married filing jointly. I had cash but I didn't start investing until I was 40. If I was consistent in my 20s and 30s, I probably could be retired by now. Keep up the great work!

One more thing about a reverse rollover from your Ira to your 401k. Be very careful and check your plans rules. And even speak to the plan admin people. Some plans will make you take out the entire amount at once, and do not allow partial distributions. That would be horrible for taxes… just check.

Healthcare costs are the real killer in this country.

Nice video. Some people are going to get taxed on a lot more gains with a brokerage account that has been held many years. Perhaps eventually you could do a video on a single person with larger accounts targeting about twice that take home. It's a scenario of doing the best they can in taxes, but they want to enjoy themselves and not feel super constrained. Thanks for the content!

Wait....He should qualify for Rule of 55 on January 1, 2026. He doesn't need to wait until October 2026. It's the calendar year you turn 55.

Great pdf, but would be helpful if it included Head of Household numbers

Great content. I am taking a similar approach , but it gets much more difficult when you also need to do some sizable Roth conversions.

Even with the 10% penalty, you pull the trigger at this stage unless you love your day job -- majority do not.
