I went to an elevation concert recently where Furtick condemned the audience for not being wild and engaged enough. I quit listening to them and now know they are false teachers!! The emotional experience has nothing to do with worshipping my Savior!

Worship is not about you. It’s about God. If you wanna be where God wants you to be, don’t compromise.

Worship is not defined as singing! Singing is a PART of worship, NOT the whole!

I asked a co-worker about his visit to a very large church in our city. He said, &quot; It was great. It was like attending a concert!&quot;<br>I then asked him what the message was about. &nbsp; He thought about it for a moment. &nbsp; He said, &quot;I don&apos;t remember.&quot; 😮‍💨

So many of the older songs were scripture set to music. I would love to see a return to that.

  I miss the church I grew up in....1 piano, 1 organ, small choir...and HYMNS!! Then, a few announcements and a biblical sermon...with a healthy dose of &quot;fire &amp; brimstone&quot;!

Has anyone noticed the so called &apos;hymns&quot; of today brag about what they do for God and the hymns of long-ago brag on what GOD has done for us?

A fundamental issue is calling music &quot;worship&quot; which seems to exclude the other parts of the service from being worship. &nbsp; All parts should be worship.

Worship music based on Scripture is my favorite.

I visited a Baptist church the other day because I know their worship is simple and God-centered. I needed a break from all the &quot;me&quot; songs lol Hymns for the win!
