  I felt that guys pain.<br><br>Lost my Dad and Mother in Law to brain cancer. My Mother in a law had an inoperable tumor and we cared for her at our house on hospice until she passed. Three months.<br><br>But &nbsp;to lose a child…

  The argument for federalism back in the 18th century was not the right call... 13 colonies that were divided would have been quickly quashed by the superior British army. We only won the revolution because we were united, had help from France, and Britain was distracted.<br><br>That said, in the modern age, the USA is just too large for a strong centralized government to be effective for anything other than tyranny. It certainly can&apos;t meet the hyper-local needs at the community level... Which wouldn&apos;t have been an issue had been stuck to the original script before Wilson and Roosevelt turned us into an empire. <br><br>But here&apos;s the thing: I don&apos;t think simply returning power to the states is enough. Too many states at this point themselves have too strong of centralized state control, often favoring the needs of large urban centers to the detriment of the rural population (prime example being Oregon).<br><br>We really need a pyramid power structure, with the least power at the federal level, slightly more at the state, slightly more at county, city, neighborhood, and ultimate power at the household level.

  John / Tony — this was probably the most manly, mature, vulnerable and deeply emotionally edifying conversations I’ve had privilege of “sitting in on” in years. &nbsp;[Perhaps I need more exposure.] &nbsp;We so rarely hear men hashing out our sh*t like this and I’m deeply grateful to you for both for your bravery and love for us (dads). &nbsp;<br><br>Tony’s vulnerability came across in such a gentle “poverty of spirit” that helps us see God [to paraphrase Jesus in sermon on the Mount]. &nbsp;He touched on everything meaningful to a man: love, society, children, death, dishonesty, pain, fatherhood / “sonhood”, and (not the least) spirituality.<br><br>I’ll yell this at you: &nbsp;THANK YOU!!!

  Before 1975, we were made up mostly of people who had been living democracy and freedom and Enlightenment for several centuries, and were quite similar.<br>After 1975, that all changed. Origins shifted 180 degrees to those from totalitarian traditions and ideologies.<br>Turns out that broke the Constitution, along with the LBJ agenda, of course. That period was the Jacobin revolution. This is just the post-revolution/counter-revolution struggle for power. You can tell by the proliferation of factions.

  Passed in 1798 during the Quasi-War with France, the Alien and Sedition Acts were four laws enacted by the Federalist-controlled U.S. Congress. They were designed to suppress political dissent and restrict the rights of immigrants, who were largely suspected of sympathizing with French radicals.

  4 states( at least) have 100% Leftist gov workers, healthcare, schools, courts (subsidized by other countries) building a beachhead. This is a quickly growing problem. They currently have no fear.

  @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYR31dCFVEM&amp;t=2400">40:00</a> The position got that powerful because our legislature was bought and paid for 3 generations ago and theyve abdicated their duties to tue executive branch and bureaucratic institutions.

  This conversation was AMAZING! I was riveted the entire time. I cried for Caroline and his suffering, I will implement the advice about speaking on accomplishments earned instead of scolding my sons because I have set the bar so high. I just can&apos;t say enough about how beneficial this discussion was. Thank you!
