I want Pharmeasy to survive. Tata already owns 1mg. Reliance already owns Netmeds. We don't want another duopoly in the market. Pharmeasy has been my go to platform for Medicine Orders and Lab Tests. ❤

My father used to buy medicines from pharmeasy, bought there membership also. But nowadays my father buys medicines from pradhan mantri jan aushidi kendra, the cost is 1/4th as it is generic medicines. I don't know about the quality but as per cost its really huge margin

I have been using it for long especially delivering it for location which little far off from main town in Maharashtra but for local requirements in Thane, I used local chemists, Apollo as requirement was small. They have delivered well so far. I have used their home diagnostic service which is quite efficient.
They made mistakes by trying too many things by burning investors money. They entered into private labels selling thro Dr channel, home diagnostics, pathology at Dr. Clinic etc. Once some of local chemists started offering discounts and generic stores expanded, in metro, mini metros there is no major relevance for medicine delivery unless they are delivered quicker as managed by many of the local chemists now.

Tata already has 1 mg and Netmeds by Reliance. Why would they acquire a poorly managed, loss making ecommerce platform ?
The only silver lining is Thyrocare. They might acquire just Thyrocare and let Pharmeasy die ! The other aspect is both Tata and Reliance have some poor precedence in scaling up a startup. Tata messed up with BigBasket and Reliance with Dunzo. So, they will cautiously tread the space

The fall in the valuation isn’t the anomaly, the 2021 valuation is. Every valuation was bloated back then

Anytime someone loans you money > 10% interest rate, they are ensuring you fail.

I'm still a regular customer of Pharmeasy but as the markets evolve they could've pivoted to 10mins Medicine delivery already having wholesale medicine background and converting already existing partners as dark stores or supplier which could have attracted more and more customers. Now usually people prefer going to nearby medical shops because the shop owner also offers 10% discount and just like grocery no one plans their medicine they suddenly remember they're out of medicine and they can't wait. People used pharmeasy because they were getting discounts but now once the party is over people have started switching to their nearby stores. In today's time most of the people when they buy medicines they prefer buying something else also like ice creams cold drinks or energy drinks that is the reason most of the medical stores have this in stock which Pharmeasy missed it completely.
