  Among the 22 motorcycles I&apos;ve owned in my 80 years of breathing were three Yamaha XS650&apos;s. &nbsp;Love them all. A first year 1970, second year `71 and a 1975. &nbsp;I also had a multitude of Honda&apos;s and three Harleys. &nbsp;For all these years I rode them to and from work every third day to the fire stations I was assigned to for over 20 years. &nbsp;Heat of summers here in the desert Southwest to winters, rain or shine. (snowless of course). &nbsp;The only electronics on these bikes was what made the motor and the lights work. &nbsp;Traction control was the throttle, clutch and brake controls along with keeping the right air pressure in the tires. &nbsp;Fuel gauge was a pet cock under the gas tank on the fuel shut-off valve. It had a &quot;reserve&quot; position you could switch to that told you to find a gas station. This was back when the rider or operator had full control over the entire machine. &nbsp;These days vehicle manufacturers are trying to make the operator pretty much irrelevant. My last bike was the 2006 Sportster 1200 Roadster, the last year for carburation. &nbsp;Bought it used in 2008 for $7K including a warranty from a dealer. &nbsp;DEP

  My well used and tatty 2002 Suzuki SV 650 says &quot;check this for a £1000 bike and then tell me what more do you need to have a thoroughly great ride&quot;. My 2003 Kawazaki VN 800 cruiser says I&apos;m starting to get old.

  Any Royal Enfields on here? When I take mine out I always have a ride home lined up because more often than not I&apos;m left stranded somewhere. Still, I love that thing, even tho it doesnt love me back.

  The boss boss rider understands that an engine you can find in a large rv is being asked to power a bike. So a million miles is doable. And if you want crazy power you still got longevity.

  2015 sporty 72. &nbsp; 02 fat boy is how i roll. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Pure hot rods. &nbsp; 🔥 &nbsp; not the fastest not the best performance &nbsp;but just plain out cool. &nbsp; Ive owned a lot of bikes been riding for 50 years. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Miss the classic superbikes that was a cool era. &nbsp;I despise modern technology &nbsp; &nbsp;modes abs etc etc. &nbsp; &nbsp; Learn how to ride. &nbsp; &nbsp; I got all the muscle i need with my twim cam and evo. &nbsp; &nbsp;M8s seem to refined. &nbsp;Homoginized. &nbsp; &nbsp;Like the rest of society. &nbsp; Raw power is sure to come running to me

  Only ever buy bikes that DON&apos;T HAVE COMPUTERS RUNNING THEM, bikes used to run fine with basic points &amp; a mag

  I find my Suzuki TU250 to be pretty good. &nbsp;Not too bad for parts, but can be hard to find them if you aren&apos;t in a country where there are a lot of them.

  Had Yamaha&apos;s since 78, had my current 1200 Vmax for 25 years &amp; still she can give me nasty surprises, which is what I love about her , &amp; that is with many upgrades that have probably exceeded the value of the bike, but I can sort of go round corners now 😊
