  For the Austrian stamp, I believe it wasn't only to help bring general awareness, but most importantly, a direct attempt to help those women who were experiencing domestic violence. Often they're too scared to speak out or too scared to leave the relationship and home for fear of reprisals. Even if someone was forbidden to leave the house, they probably would still have received letters and cards from relatives to the home. Seeing that stamp on an envelope would surely be a major wake-up call to the danger they were in, and could perhaps be enough to drive them to make that decision to get out. And if that stamp helped even one person of any gender to get out of that type of situation, it was worth putting that image on the stamp. I have thankfully never been a victim of domestic violence, but I have close relatives who have. The same applies to the Austrian stamp highlighting the effects of drug use. Thank you for this video on the spooky stamps. The Equitorial Guinea stamp was a worthy winner! :)

  Huh, I have that Pinocchio stamp, but I never thought of it as creepy. But seeing it magnified on the screen, those eyes really are horrible.

  I did't know that the winning stamp really depicts dead people but always assumed its just a bad artwork. 😅Thanks for dicovering this story for all of us! 😀

  Some great stamps, I feel sorry for the postal workers that had to deal with that spider stamp. #2 was definitely the worst in my opinion, great vid
