Thanks for the video. I am really excited to see a comparison of this lens vs the 400m F4.5 GM and 300mm F2.8 GM with 1.4x and 2.0x TC's. Any chance you could throw the 100-400mm F4.5 GM zoom into the mix too?

Hi Jan. I think you should mention that Sony's IBIS/OSS for photography is fantastic. People seem to assume that because Sony's video is a little jerky, that IBIS/OSS for photography must be terrible.

we need a video comparing the 200-600, 400-800 and the 600 6.3. That is the decision people will need to make.

The 400 and 600 look fantastic, Sony ate Nikon's lunch. Release an A6900 with all bells and whistles (pre-capture...) and I would switch in a heartbeat.

Hello from Ontario, Canada! Belated thanks for this video, Jan! Having done all my analysis I think I will stay with the Canon system that I started with since December 2025. R8 and rf 100-400 combo serves my purpose well as I found out during my July trip to Kluane National Park and Reserve in Yukon, Canada. If I wanted to upgrade, I have the choice of buying rf 200-800 or even rf 800/F11 that, coming from a DSLR system, would already be a great leap for me. Thanks again for your videos and dedication to photography. I know you put your heart and soul into educating the audience.
