I bought this cd approximately 30 years ago and have returned to it sporadically in the decades since. I’ve felt at best lukewarm about it over most of that time, until just recently, the last few years or so. It has taken that long to win me over, yet win me over it has. Like much, or even most of the music from Brian Eno, it is an investment in time. These days I adore the quiet nature of the work, and it’s almost adamantine solemnity. In the end it’s almost furtively lovely, and has become one of my favorites from him.
His 70’s and 80’s solo albums, Warm Jets, Another Green World, Taking Tiger Mountain and Before And After Science have affected me in much the same way, although I’ve always liked them. Recently though they have emerged into the pantheon of great recordings from those days, so unique and unusual. Classics, cloaked almost humbly by their creator.
Love Neroli. ❤
Love Eno. ❤

I've only really been listening to Enos stuff for a year or so. But Ive on occasions have done the same with album's and artists. Revisiting their works year's later is good. As we change, society changes the world change's the music from before is welcomed and fits modern times. I think he's Ambient stuff is a great retreat from the chaos of modern life
