  Hello sir, I just found your channel in fact I haven’t watched any of your videos yet, I just clicked on this video because I believe it’s your latest long style video you have uploaded, I’ve paused it straight away to write this post. I want to say thank you in advance of my watching your informative and educational content. I took a quick look through the titles of about 25 of your videos and there’s many knots, splices and other interesting things you do with ropes that in some cases I’ve never heard of them before, it should be a lot of fun to watch and learn some new knots and other fun stuff.<br>Thank you again and greetings from Canada.

  I&apos;ve never used it, as a matter of fact I hardly use synthetic cordage. These tutorials are my go to reference guide. They are clear and easy to follow. Thank you.

  The outer part shortens as the tail is burried inside. That&apos;s why two strands kept showing out and had to be cut.<br>By tapering before inserting the tail the insertion is much more difficult and the strands will stuck up inside. Better do the tapering after insertion of the tail.<br>Tapering all the length up to the eye reduces strength.<br>The eye is not locked, as you said yourself. Instead of stitching a string, a brummel splice does the locking alone.

  Nice but I would recommend going in a little further down so it all pulls in and you don’t have to cut any off that doesn’t bury itself. That is one instance you don’t want to measure precisely. You could be an entire arms length off and it wouldn’t matter, it would actually help.
