I cannot express how much I’d love to be in your shoes again. That first play through is magical. Great vid, can’t wait to see more.

I understand people love NV, but 3 was the last game that really felt like fallout, the ruins, the decimation of DC, the green-ness of it all, just a beautiful experience

I remember playing it when I was around 13-15 iirc on x360, and it was still relatively new. I did not knew English too well back then, but luckily it had a full on dubbing(which was kinda rare for my country back in a day). The sound was on and off, some characters almost shouted their lines, while others almost whispered. I had no idea back then, how much I’ll get into this world a few years later.

Oh man, 3 was my main game I played, think I got it for Christmas in it's release year, and like 80% of the time I played a game it was this. Every playthrough I felt like I'd find something I didn't in my last playthrough, the exploration and atmosphere were spot on for me, never once thought "I'd enjoy this more if...". If I had to pick something, it would be the janky jogging where I'm going at an angle but my body is still facing forward, and wouldn't even be worth mentioning if it wasn't visible every single time you did more than a slow walk. For the longest time, I wasn't even aware when the DLCs came out, and yet again, no complaints. Even Mothership Zeta, loved it, only complaint was the unique clothing/armor piece that wasn't the correct model or something, can't remember at this point. Broken Steel had me the most excited to play after the story ended since that was probably my biggest disappointment. Well, I guess playing on console sucked some since obviously I'm just playing vanilla with every playthrough, wasn't even aware of mods till I got into YouTube more and watched Fallout content creators. Exploration for the collectables, the guns to experiment with, the armors to see which is the coolest, the characters to interact with, what a fun time to reminisce about.

As much fun as I have with 4, it constantly crashing likely due to a mod and not being able to even guess which has soured my time with it. I still liked 4, but modding it has been it's biggest blessing and curse for me considering 4 is my introduction to modding and since day 1, apparently I'll never get the hang of it.

Edit: While there's nothing stopping you from just doing the main quest, pretty sure the devs expect the player to at least do a handful of them for some levels, just winging it, I'd wager they assume you're at least at like level 15 to 20 by the time you get to Tranquility Lane so you have at least a couple high stats and a good handful of perks. Getting to Vault 87 at like level 8 sounds like such a slog, especially if you're jumping right into the DLCs since they even recommended you be at a certain level (may be just New Vegas but pretty sure this one does)

Just turned 31, I played this when it came out, I rented it when it came out, I re-rented it like 3 times and tried bioshock and borderlands, I love those too but fallout 3 was the perfect experience, ended up loving new vegas more but 3 really sits deep in my heart
